When it comes to every subject, there is a definite "do and don't" list. Feng Shui for the office is no exception.

If you are looking to channel the most positive energy and get the best results in desiging your office using Feng Shui, here is a hint list of what to do and not to do.

    The DO List:

    • Sit in the furthest corner from the entrance to assume a position of "command"
    • For increased creativity, place your computer in your office in the North or West area
    • If you use your computer to generate income, place it in the Southeast part of your office
    • Sit with your back to a wall or corner for support. If you are in front of a window, sit with your back to a tall building (mountain of support)
    • If a column or post is protruding from the corner, disguise it with the draping foliage of a plant
    • To activate your business and career success, try placing a small aquarium with a black or blue fish on the North corner of your desk or office
    • To promote free flowing chi and eliminate clutter, keep the cords to your office equipment well hidden
    • DO place a safe, which is usually constructed of metal, in either West or Northwest, which both represent the metal element. The safe symbolizes the prosperity and financial security of a business.
    • Balance the yin and yang when decorating your office by using light and dark colors, smooth and rough textures, and both soft and hard surfaces for your flooring, surfaces, and window treatments
    • To represent the metal element, place a safe in the west or northwest corner of the office. A safe will symbolize prosperity and the financial security of a business

    The DON'T List:

    • Don't place your seat where you will be looking out into a corridor or seeing  the stairs, closets or other storage rooms, escalators, elevators or toilets
    • Always maintain control over the energy in a room. One way is to NOT have any mirrors in your office that may reflect negative energy from clients to other people in the room
    • Business symbolically comes to you through the door, so don't turn your back to the door when conducting business in your home
    • Don't sit in line with the door or you will be in the path of negative energy

Hopefully all of these tips will help you to prosper in your business!
